Re: Mast head floats and canting shrouds

I don't think the canting mast idea will work on the D15 as the mast just sits on a ball on the front beam and will become detached when the rig tension is lowered significantly. I've not used a mast float on my 15 but have occasionally used it on our club's Dart 16, whilst it stops the inversion it...

Re: Mast heel/base ?

I believe that could be a Dart 15 Sting mast that you have which is the same section as the Dart 18 and about 0.6 metres longer than a standard Dart 15 mast.

Re: Traveller issue.

Check the screw that attaches the triangle plate that the cleat is fitted, often they work loose over time as the plate wears.

Re: Rutland Entries Now Open!

I've just spoken to the guy that runs the campsite opposite the sailing club and he will not be open this weekend due to the forecast wet weather.

Re: Trailer support arm

Have you tried Mersea Trailers, they sell catamaran trailers
with the adjustable arms so may be able to help you out.
Does your trailer have a data plate with the manufacturers
name on it?

Re: Grafham Cat Open - final 40th Anniversary Summer TT!

No problem with leaving boats at Stewartby, the offer is open to everyone just let me know. Unfortunately I can't make Grafham this weekend, so please could you send me a message just before you leave there so I can ensure somebody is at the club to let you in.

Thanks
Andy

I've used https://www.cygnus-sails.com in the past for sail and trampoline repairs, done a good job and fairly priced, they are based in Kettering.

Re: Fuel economy for crazy TTer

I've towed with the mast attached both ways ( split mast strapped on top of beams rather than beneath though) and didn't notice any appreciable difference in fuel economy. Just down to personal preference really.
