Re: Reataching jib block guide/rail

I would imagine that stainless steel pop rivets are likely to be too powerful for the fibreglass of the hull (but I would like to hear from others if this is correct). Why not buy the proper rivets from Windsport? See under Suppliers on this website.

Very Sad. Another of the Class's characters who put a lot into the Class over the years.

PS Jenny - a nice tribute.

Re: Dolphins

Many moons ago we were sailing at a TT Event at Swanage and a pod of Dolphins where cruising around us as we were racing. On the downwind leg one swam directly between my hulls moving me forward in a surge of speed and passing Erling Holmberg. I still remember the complaints from Erling that I had ...

Re: Nationals Results

Yes, sounds familiar. More embarrassingly I think that was the Nationals where I tried to mount one of the large buoys and got it stuck between the 2 hulls and I was stuck for some time....

Re: Nationals Results

That was quite an event. Three days of quite strong breeze with some very close racing all the way through. Day 1 was type 2 fun but day 2 was just champagne sailing. I was very lucky to be able to cruise round on the third day and just enjoy the racing. Thank you to everybody including Pauline and...

Superb attendance of the Shanklin members.
Can a few more of them be tempted to enter the Nationals? ;-)

Re: Number of Dart 15s in the family.

My word what a lot of Dart 15s.... :-)
So it sounds like the Clarkes have 3 Dart 15 sailors in one family with lots of boats. I reckon that puts them ahead of the Price/ Maddison family who had 3 sailors and 3 boats.

Number of Dart 15s in the family.

I observe that there are 3 Clarkes who took part in the Marconi TT. Are they all in the same family and living under 1 roof? If so this equals the 3 that were in the Price/Maddison family in the early 1990s. Does anyone know of others with 3 or more Dart 15s (and sailors) in one family? I discount c...

Re: Windsport at Marconi this weekend

Well done, Mark. It is a good place to win with the challenging tides.
The only places with more challenging tides that are or have been on the Dart 15 circuit are Gurnard and Instow in my opinion.

Well done to our new National Champion

Well done to Jenny Ball. Our first lady National Champion for 34 years. Linda Moss won in 1989 as a 2-up boat with Stuart Snell as crew. Jenny is our first ever single handed Lady Champion - a fantastic achievement, especially as she was the event organiser. It is really tough to organise the event ...
