Thanks Jenny. I know of a local silversmith so will ask her.

Catamaran themed trophies.

Hi all, Does anyone know of companies that sell catamaran-themed trophies please? I've looked at loads of websites but everything I've found is cheap and mass produced - am after something a bit pricier/classier (maybe £300 'ish) for a perpetual series award. Would need plenty of room for many year...

Re: No rudder parts on Windsport website.

Thanks Jenny. It's really odd - yesterday there were several fewer categories visible than today... maybe they were doing some website maintenance..? All good now though, cheers :D

No rudder parts on Windsport website.

Hi all,
I was looking for some pop rivets earlier on the windsport website but the rudder section no longer seems to be there, either for Dart 15s or Dart 18s. Do we know if the rudder assemblies are being discontinued/redesigned please?
Thanks.

Big hike in insurance...

Hi, has anyone else found that insurance costs have leapt this year? David Lloyd has become noble and although they're still the cheapest it's a significant premium increase from last year. And the RYA's "discount" with Bishop Skinner is a joke - way more than Noble even with the RYA 10% o...

Re: Traveller issue.

Thanks Brian,
I Think Andy's advice will have improved things, but if not I'll order a new U-plate and bend it at work.
Cheers.

Traveller issue.

Hi all, I'm finding it really difficult to get the traveller rope to jam in its cleat. I bought a new cleat as the old one was worn, but I'm still struggling to get the rope to jam in... it's almost as if the whole assembly needs to be angled upwards more and I'm having to kneel down on the tramp to...

Trapeze lines

Hi all, I don't (yet) own a harness but a few weeks ago one of my sailing friends crewed for me, and when she tried to get out on the wires she found that the hook position was too low (even with the adjuster fully shortened). She's crewed for other 15s in the club so knows what it should feel like....

Trapeze bungee length.

Hi all,
Could anyone tell me how long the trapeze bungee needs to be please? I need to replace mine and have found 3.3 metres of it but won't have a chance to check if it's long enough until the weekend.
Thanks.

Re: Trampoline track replacement kit

Hi Brian,
Thanks for your reply.
How exactly is the copying done please? It would be very easy to ruin an expensive track with the smallest inaccuracies.
Has anyone actually done this and prepared to share their method please?
Thanks.

Trampoline track replacement kit

Hi all,
Has anyone bought one of the trampoline track replacement kits from Windsport? If so, could you confirm whether or not the rack extrusions are drilled please? In the photo on their website it doesn't look like there are any fixing holes...
Thanks.

Jib halyards

Hi all, I've noticed that many of the Dart 15 sailors at Seaford have switched from wire to pre-stretched Dyneema for the jib halyard. Am just curious how commonplace this is? I've not heard of any breakages, and in fact I wouldn't be surprised if a Dart with a broken forestay could be limped home o...
