Re: Traveller issue.

Ok good , but if you need more angle, before you replace the U plate try just bending the original up a bit while it is still riveted to the main body.

Re: Traveller issue.

taking care, you can bend up the U plate to suit you using an adjustable wrench or similar. If you bend the triangle plate the plate will be unable to swivel, so U plate is best. hope that helps. Brian P

Start of Dartfest @ Windsport

Dart 15, SN. 1244 took to the water for the first time in may years today. All good, Hobie dog ,the crew, got a bit bored as there was not quite enough wind for trapezing, hey-ho there is always tomorrow.

Dart 15 SN. 1244 raised from the grave!! ready for Dartfest

Dart 15 SN. 1244 is back in action after living in a hedge "unloved" for a number of years. Following some serious surgery she has been resurrected back to health and will be joining those coming down to Windsport for the DARTFEST this week starting on Wednesday. The history of her rebuild...

Re: Trapeze lines

Hi, Whilst the wire length has proven to suit all heights of crew the length of the adjuster line is sometimes slightly lengthened or shortened to suit a sailors personal preference.

Re: Dart 15 for family use

many thx for contacting the Dart 15 Class. The RYA dinghy show takes place next weekend at Farnborough and it would be a great opportunity to meet catamaran sailors and talk to the class. Unfortunatley youth tend to only grow bigger year on year so it may be best to plan for the future. It may not b...

Re: Trampoline track replacement kit

I would suggest laying the old and new track side by side and using an engineers square or similar transfer the hole centres across to the new track. Alternatively if the old holes in the deck have gone over size , ie bigger than 5mm , seal those holes and make holes in a new position on the track a...

Re: Trampoline track replacement kit

hi, due to the small variation in hole positions over the years of manufacture the replacement track is supplied undrilled. This allows you to copy your existing hole positions across to your new track.
Hope that helps

Re: Sad News

Thx Keith, our condolences to Alan's family from Brian and Cookie. We remember that week of Sprint 15 sailing well, a great week with a great group of sailors.

Re: Rain water in the lower mast

the exact position of the plug will of varied over the years of manufacture. Whilst Windsport do not recommend drilling any holes in the sealed mast sections of the mast probably 30cm above the end of the section will leave you above the plug. The question would be just how high above the plug.

Re: Rain water in the lower mast

Hi, These are the simple steps Windsport would suggest to try first as your sleeve is in the top section of your mast 1) Remove the water from inside the mast by removing the mast heel casting and accessing the lower plug and removing the water by the means suggested. 2) measure the gap between the ...

Re: Rain water in the lower mast

The original 2 piece mast was sealed at the joint areas either side of the sleeve by squashing a mixture of epoxy and filler between two polystyrene plugs, the tops of which were then covered with a layer of epoxy paste. Over a number of years with the expansion of the aluminium wall and the brittle...
