I don't agree. You can specify type of material, stitching, dimensions etc. without specifying supplier. Then any sailmaker can try to make the sail within those restrictions and compete for trade on the open market.

Could anyone tell me the best way to hold the Sprint 15 still in one place before a start i.e before the one minute flag. Also any updates on the DX sail. Thanks to Bob and Martin for the information. We use the tables as indicated on the link to SCHRS. I noticed that in the FAQ section they suggest the rating should be multiplied by 686 to give a 'PY look-alike'. This gives 905.52 for the standard Sprint 15 and 835.54 for the Sport mode. SCHRS

I've never seen reference to the Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System. Is that used at all. Here in Spain its the only one used. They refer to Dart 15 Cat boat, Dart 15 Sprint and Dart 15 GTI? I assume they refer to one crew main sail; one crew main sail + jib; two crew main + jib.
