Thanks Bob,
It looks like the same link that I tried this morning when I got was the Star.

Hi Bob,
I have Sky and no freeview at home.
My dad said that he found the Tornados on a Sky Sports channel not that he was looking I think it was half time in the football.

Seems like Robert has won Gold in the latest Olympic sport - Find the Tornado coverage. I have searched every day and have found none, either with my red button or on-line (even when the BBC web link has listed the Tornado).

Events like this show why our boat and our association have been so successful.

I can not believe there has been a sailing event anywhere that has been so well organised and so appreciated and enjoyed by its competitors.

Apart from the wind being a bit extreme, the weekend was perfect.

Thanks for all of your advice.
I have just received a note from the boats owner. (It was actually his father as the owner is currently working abroad). He has sorted his mast problem but he didn't say what he did but I am sure that your suggestions inspired him to have another go.

Hi Charles,
It does seem a little strange but I believe that he has tried most things. He even took it to an engineering company but they had to give up. I think that the sleeve may be non standard; it’s been a while since I saw it but I think that it may have been fibre glass.

Second hand mast

We have a sailor at gurnard who has a two piece mast with a snapped joining sleeve. He has tried everything to try and remove the broken bits from the two sections of mast but they appear to have been glued in and they will not budge. He now believes that his only alternative is to buy a replacement...

Hi We had a second attempt at our Cadet Sprint 15 day last Saturday. It was freezing with thick ice covering the trampolines. We got about 6 cadets out on the water before the wind got too strong. On the final trip I took an experienced 12 year old out but the wind had really got up and I pushed it ...

Hi all We had just had our Sprint 15 Cadet Day and although there was very little wind it was a surprising success. We launched four Sprints and managed to get a Cadet out in each one just before the wind disappeared. Robin Leather was busy for the whole day running his dry land trapezing tutorials ...

Sprint 15 and young sailors

With a thought to the RYA’s ridiculous proposals and with a desire to get some unused 15’s salty, we are organising a Cadet Sprint 15 test sail day at Gurnard. For a club which has an historical anti-cat bias I have been pleasantly surprised by the positive response from many of our mono-hullic memb...

Hi Robert
For the records it is Pat Moore.
Very good point about prospective purchasers.

George
If you are not providing a Race Report for us, how about giving us a report of your little run-in with the police man on the M4.

Pics from Gurnard

Hi Alex, We usually hire a professional photographer to take pictures of the event and frame large prints for the winners. This year I thought that paintings of the area by a local artist would make a nice change. The downside of the prize change has meant that there is a lack of quality photographs...

Toe Straps

One of my toe straps broke (when I had a 3 minute lead in a race in the Sport Nationals) due to the metal part that is attached to the plastic bit that goes into the rear beam being filed too thin. I can only assume that this was done to ease its insertion into the beam slot. The Windsport replaceme...
