2006 Training Weekend 13/14 May - Seasalter SC [Steve Willis

Post by Archive »

Steve Willis replied:

Andy,

Gordon is quite right the weekend 13/14 May at Seasalter has been booked. We are about 1 hour from the M25 Dartford Crossing with the A2 and the end of the M2 only 4 miles from the club.

We have 16 Sprint 15s (out of our total fleet of about 50 boats) and a range of skills from novice to 'expert!?!'so anyone should find kindred spirits to enjoy the weekend.

We can make arrangements for boats to arrive /depart up to a week either side and we have space for 6 motor homes or caravans and about 30 tents. Parking is free along our seafront and more caravans and motorhomes can park on the roadside gravel car parking areas. There are two travel lodge style hotels within 2 miles of the club (use Yell.com and search on hotels based on CT5 4BW postcode) and I will be talking to the local information office to get details of B&Bs in the new year.

There is more information about us in the latest Association magazine but for anyone who did not receive that I can e-mail a copy of the text.
The club website is at www.seasaltersailing.org.uk

I will be preparing some notes and a flyer nearer the date (probably in early March) when we have finalised details. However anyone that would like to let me know they are interested can e-mail me direct so I have their e-mail address when it is time for the flyer. Please use swillis@iee.org to register an interest.

My phone is 07980-416422 and I would be pleased to talk to anyone with queries.

Happy Xmas and New Year to all

Sprint 15 Events Programme [Bob]

Post by Archive »

Bob replied:

Hi Guys,
Thank you for replying on my behalf about the date of the training weekend. I have sent the full programme for 2006 to our webmaster some 6 weeks ago, but I think he has been busy, as it has not been posted yet. It was on the back page of the last issue of NewSprint for those who are paid up members of the Association. For those who are not (but should be) you can see our entire programme for 2006 on the Yacvhts and Yachting web site where it has been posted for many weeks.
Regards
Bob

Events Programme - stop press [Bob]

Bob replied:

Nowthat I'm back from my travels I see that Jonathan has updated the events programme and so it is now available for you all to fill in your diaries - thanks go to Jonathan.
Make sure that you pencil in the 2 National Championships. After our poor attendace at Pwllheli (34 entries) we desperately need to get back in the 50+ club for Netley. It is a great venue with a keen and helpful team AND it is so close and convenient for our members in the South of the UK.
