I fancy the trip to Carsington on 16/17th Sept, but have done far to much camping this year. Any suggestions for local B+B, pub accommodation ??

Hi Kevin. I hope Ray gets up early, not like Charles when we went to Halifax and had to wait an hour before breakfast all because we got there before eight.
PS I stayed at a travel lodge last year.

Yes.... getting to Halifax was quicker than expected, I'll have a flask of hot coffee 8am (ish) Saturday morning at Carsington. I have a list of Travel Lodge locations see if anything looks suitable.... See you there !!

...well some of us have better things to do at that time on a Saturday morning, like get bounced on by the kids, or watch CBBies!!

Gordon replied:

It is with great regret that I will not be at Carsington this year...and I do mean that. I have already given my apologies to Ray and Liz. I know they both work very hard to make this event a success and I would definitely be there to support them if I could.
Due to circumstances, I can't be there this year, but it is one of my favourite places to visit and I would recomend it to everyone as a top place to go.
Erling can have the bed this year..but it's only on loan.
And Frank, you'll be welcome to visit me at the hotel Volvo at Grafham in October when I'll be there with my new boat!

Erling replied:

Sorry Gordon but after the good time I had this weekend and that breakfast that Liz gave me on Sunday I have booked the room for next year as I am working on the principle that we will get a good strong wind at least one in three times.
PS Ray even bought me a coffee when I arrived
