Anyone purchased a cover recently and recomendations? My old sail Register one is approx 4 years old and sadly on its last legs. Have been considering Windsport and Bruce Banks. Any other ideas?

Cover [Bob]

Bob replied:

The Windsport ones are really good. They are a bit more expensive than some but they are really tough material, fit well, have buckles everywhere. They have been a big hit with the buyers of new boats. I have no knowledge of Bruce Banks. Goldfinch of Whitstable make one which is quite good for the money. You can find details by using the search engine on these chat pages.

Goldfinch Covers [George Stephen]

Post by Archive »

George Stephen replied:

I have been pleased with my Goldfinch cover - except for going to away meetings etc and occasional repairs, my Sprint 15 sits on my trailer under its cover all year round.

But I think that the "original Goldfinch people" have changed a bit, and that you now have to contact a different organisation to get a cover like mine. As Bob says, enter cover in the search box and you'll get a list of entries on the Chat pages which include the word cover. I think that some give details of new contacts.

George

PS There are cheaper covers, but they never seem to imporess their owners a few years down the line when replacement looms earlier than they had hoped.

I bought a cover from Goldfinch this time last year. Graet fit with a deep skirt around the sides. Excellent.
