New Satellite Images on Clubs Map page

Post by Martin Searle »

Folks,

Just noticed that they have changed some of the satellite images on the clubs map with more interestings ones.

http://www.sprint15.com/clubs.php

So for example pop along to Seasalter and switch to Satellite mode, spot the cat sailing off-shore and looking at the number of cars there (which includes mine and Kevins') I think we can safely say its a race day but unfortunately the rest of us would appear to be in the black area to the north. You can just see a couple of cats to the north of the lone boat! on the border.

Not sure if the lone boat is a 15 or 18 but I'd go for an 18 with me and Kevin behind in the border area or perhaps not!.

Might be worth checking out your club to see what was happening there?

Nice one Martin, very good resolution.

Looks like your 15 is on its trailer in the field next top the club 15, Jeff, Joan and I are all out on our 15s (covers piled up on the beach) looks like Steve London's 18 is out.

Not many boats stored on the beach so probably early in the season.

Hard too say but the time of year is definately when the raipe seed plants are in full bloom so thats late spring\early summer. Its from last year because the new steps are in place.

Looking closely where my boat is yes its there so its also probably my duty day in that case since my car is the 2nd one from the club. I count about 5-6 cat trolleys on the beach. Kevins boat is in the boat park but John D's looks gone and John Holmes is also out as well.

I think that the photo was taken on the afternoon of 15th July 2007 - with Kevin drowning his sorrows that so few Grafham sailors had travelled to Seasalter for him to beat.....
