Rescued from destruction after being found abandoned by Cheshire police on the M6 @ Knutsford...
Motorway Police came across an abandoned boat trailer in the early hours of the morning..... described the incident as damaged 'canoe trailer' !
can see where they're coming from as the hulls were travelling in the broken down form..
The offending trailer was removed by a local recovery contractor who stored it waiting for the owners to claim it back...after twelve months Cheshire Police authorised its disposal as nobody had come forward to claim the 'canoe trailer' and the recovery agents fee remained outstanding @ £12 per day + the cost of bringing it in from the motorway..
Anyhow old Spark 421 was recognised for what it was by a member of the local sailing club
Now refurbished and repaired with a new trampoline she sailed again at Abersoch Regatta in 2007 performing surprisingly well against new boats...and will probably race there again this year
