Amazing value

Post by Bob Carter »

I notice that the price of boat 2002 together with the boxed road trailer, 2 sets of sails and a load of spares has dropped to £3250 on the for sale page of this website.

This is fantastically CHEAP.

This was my last boat and my load of spares (in fact my whole kit) I owned before I was taken ill in March 2007. I had hardly sailed it - the only big race I sailed it in was at the 2006 Grafham Cat Open just one week after I took delivery of it and I was second to Robin Leather (who was a better sailor than me) in a quality fleet of 46 boats - most of the current sailors were there (but not Stuart, who was sailing his Dart 18).

After that I just sailed it in club racing. Peter, who bought it has hardly sailed it.

I find it amazing that no one has woken up to what a bargain this boat is at the price.

Regards

Bob

Thanks both for your comments-I was quite surprised by the lack of interest- for a boat that has been so little used
Lets hope that someone wants a bargain!!

Don't think you'll have much longer Peter, it's a very tempting upgrade - especially with all those spares, etc. If I was in the market I'd have your arm off!

Hi all

My Sprint has now sold and was collected yesterday. The new owner is Clive Dilliway from Southend has already an old 15 and sailed at the nationals
I hope he gets plenty of enjoyment from the boat
Thanks to everyone for your help and advice during the time I owned 2002- sad to see it go but not getting the use it should be getting

I've just seen 2002. It's in lovely condition.

Clive will be selling his old Sprint. Like all those who upgrade to a newer Sprint, he is lining up prospective buyers to build the fleet.
