Following Erling's reminder, there's an additional discount of £20 for those entering the Sprint 15 national championship for the first time.

As everybody should be putting their entries in very soon so as not to miss out on the excellent discount, I thought I would just take the opportunity to remind people of what they will be getting:

o Excellent sailing on the North Shore of the Thames Estuary.
o Results onshore as soon as you get in to change (well we have managed it for several events now).
o Its easy to get to us all main roads (more details to follows).
o Our Club members are getting ready to help you all out.
o Large Changing Rooms.
o We hope to have our successful manned boat cleaning points to ease your like and get you to the bar quicker.
o We have a sandy beach, although we usually manhandle our boats on it and although I pull my own up, 3 people can move a Sprint easily we have brought in some layering to ease any struggle on the harder parts.
o Parking for boats and vehicles next to our Dinghy Park.
o Excellent affordable catering onsite over the whole weekend for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
o Sundays Dinner which is in the price is planned as 3 courses.
o Evening Entertainment has been arranged for both Saturday and Sunday, although I can't say it will be wild (and it is not Andrew Hannah).
The bar is well stock with Premium Lagers (San Miguel), Standard Lagers (Fosters/Kronenbourg), 3 real ales (currently IPA, Woodforde Wherry and Doom Bar) most beers are under £3. At least 12 Wines of which 6 are served by the glass. In case anybody is interested 4 variations of water, including Tap ;-)
o The views from the club are southerly, sunny and good all day. We have had our Balcony renewed with glass paneling so it is even better than last time you was here. We wanted it to look good for the Nationals.
o Brian Phipps will be onsite next to the boat parking with his Trailer of bits and hopefully his list of jobs. Book in your mast ball replacement.
o Bring your bike the morning ride along the Esplanade is a good distance and most of it on a cycle path (the rest is a shared area, don't ask). An excellent warmup for the days event or to blow away the evening cobwebs. I may see if I can get some Boris Bikes ;-)
o If your family are coming then let us know (before you come) and we can suggest several places to go and how to get there, the weekend planned for everyone. And if they don't want to stay in Thorpe Bay, you can be on a plane to Barcelona (and many other places) courtesy of Southend Easyjet or into London within an hour.

There is so much more than you may think

Get your entry in now (same message to the Thorpe Bay Sailors).

See you Soon.

67 entries so far - looking really good. :D

I'm bemused that there are 5 entries for fun events but I have not seen any info about fun events nor is there any thing about it on the entry form.

Have I been sleeping or are they possibly entry errors

Cheers

Couple of things I might not have mentioned in my last post.

On Friday 11th July at 20:00, just after registration, Stuart Snell will be doing a presentation for newcomers to a Sprint 15 Nationals, although it maybe of interest to all. Please no heckling. This will take place in the TBYC club house, Commodores Bar.

On the Notice of Race it did say that Camping is available onsite, as somebody may have mentioned a council owned grass areas out the front of our club. Facilities are all available in the club house. As this area is also in front of houses, please be thoughtful of the neighbours.
If you plan to use this facility, it is at no extra cost but we would like to plan our layout before the event, so please as the NOR says contact us. This is probably best by email to tbycsprints@gmail.com letting us know if you are bringing a tent or camper van, size and what day you will be arriving. Then hopefully it will all run smoothly when you arrive.

Look forward to seeing some more entries.

Paul Morgan. Joint TBYC Sprint 15 Captain.
