Breaking news looks like we have agreement from the port authority allowing us to race across the channel when required. Cruise liners mega car carriers and IOW fast cats watch out!!!!

So far number of home club boats is double previous years and should double again before the event. May even be able to raise a Team entry. I will be down atT NSC from Wednesday evening so if anyone wants to come early let me know so I can make sure gate in the Park is opened

I won't be going with the boat this year due to work commitments but plan to leave work ASAP (4.30ish) on Friday to get there for the evening, will the gate etc be open about 6 or 7pm?

At least I'll be able to have a wander around Portsmouth's tourist traps for a bit on Saturday :D

Am I right in thinking that we can just pitch up (ha ha) with a tent with no need to book?

Loads of room for camping so no need to book. However only tents (including trailer tents) and motorhomes. I will be around from early Thursday morning and I believe gate will be manned Thursday and definitely on Friday. There is a code for the gate by the Club and the gate giving access to the Park so If anyone is arriving on Thursday PM me with details. Also note main park gates locked at 9pm but again we have a code.

Look forward to welcoming you to Netley

Two from Shanklin are sailing over tommorow AM. They obviously realise the high standard of competition requires BAR type dedication both on and off the water
