Just so I'm clear, our web site describes Sport mode as single handed with main jib and trapeze, but is two up with main jib and trapeze allowed?
Part of the challenge of Sport mode is multi-tasking with the two sails whilst out on the wire. Having a crew should make that task easier?
You could do the Sport Nationals two-up and you could do the TTs two-up with trapeze on an 894 handicap. You cannot use a trapeze in the Unarig Nationals.
However unless both helmsman and crew are really lightweight you shouldn't need a trapeze two-up in sensible winds. We sailed two up in 20 knots on Sunday and the boat wasn't overpowered with less than 20 stone on board leaning out.

Thanks Liam, I'm familiar with the permutations in hadicap within the Sprint 15 fleet but by mixed fleet I mean sailing with other classes. I've sailed Abersoch dinghy week several times and I have the option of sailing two up in the afternoon races. I've always been under the impression that this would be as PY 931. Is it ok to sail two up with the trapeze PY 894 in a mixed fleet of dinghies. Sorry to labour the point but this is important as you can have your day ruined by a fellow competitor who may or may not be familiar with the cat.
It also gives the option of taking some of the junior members of Llandudno SC out on the cat for a race using the wire.
I was once in the bar with a few friends and we had a good laugh at what constitutes sport mode. Here are some of our conclusions. You're in sport mode if the following apply.
Single-handed, two sails, with trapeze.
Single-handed, two sails, without trapeze.
Single-handed, main only, with trapeze.
Single-handed, jib only, with or without trapeze !
Single-handed, no sails at all, but with trapeze !
