Jib Set-up

Post by simon »

Hi All
Set the jib up on 2026 today, is there any dimentions for the cleat position along the tramp track.
I have arrived at a position using the diagram in Brians "Catamaran Book",the position I arrived at was- from the inside of the rear beam to the centre hole of the mounting plate was 740mm, seemed quite a long way back, but that was where it worked to be.
I will give things a try on Wednesday evening, but in the mean time any advice would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance

Mine is set right by the trapeze bungee. If I knew what I was doing I would move it for different wind conditions.

Thanks for that Liam,
I will move mine as in the current position I could possibly spent a lot of time sitting on /over them. Will use your position as a starting point and adjust them to see what works best. I think the both the tell tales should be flying when its right.

Simon,

If in doubt see the instructions. The manual states 525mm from the end of the track. Hope that helps to start with.
