Datchet TT - Sunday 12th February

Post by Jenny Ball »

Hi All

The next TT is at Datchet on 12th February. The last time we visited was February 2015 so we are overdue a visit! We are racing alongside club racing but with our own separate start. Briefing is at 9:30am with the first race starting around 10:30. Three races back to back.

And all with Windsor Castle as the backdrop!

Online entries are now open - NOR and entry link can be found here: https://dart15.co.uk/events/EMS/event.php?id=243

See you there!

Just under two weeks to our next TT at Datchet - online entries are now open and NOR is up.

Datchet kindly stepped in when our usual February host was not available (because they are hosting our Nationals this year). They also agreed to host when another reservoir club declined us because we are too small a fleet(!)

So please show your support for Datchet by coming along to the TT. I understand people watch the forecast this time of year before entering - but it is appreciated if you can enter early to help with planning for the event.

Many thanks

Just over a week until Datchet and the long range Windguru forecast is looking promising. At the moment, Jon Pearse and I are on for a one, two podium finish at the event. Whilst that would be nice - it would be better if we had some other people to sail against.

It would also be good if Datchet's kind agreement to host our event could be reciprocated with a decent turnout (not every club says yes, believe me).

So please book the event in your diary and enter online as soon as you can.

NOR and link to online entry are in the posts above and on the events page.

Many thanks!

I am fairly new to the internet so can't work out how to enter.

How did the three of you manage it? I just get a "please fill in all the required fields" notice.

It’s tricky- have to populate boat and crew then it works. I said the crew was me and it worked out I was una sailing- don’t know how- used usual technique of pressing buttons until internet breaks.

Regards

Keith

Your perseverance, Liam, is to be admired.
I gave up after the third go having received the same 'required fields' message.
I then managed to enter on a line - as in a 'telephone line'. Old tech backup is a blessing!
See you all Sunday :D
Just a note if any are planning to drop boats off on Saturday - the club will be closed after 5.00pm

Sailing Club Manager is an abomination. A very expensive abomination.

Feeling rather good about myself this afternoon :D always thought of myself as a website "crondike" but managed to sign on & enter using the Datchet online system on my third attempt, thinking of applying for a position at Bletchley Park

Great day out yesterday at Datchet despite the very light winds. What a superb venue for a Winter TT. Thanks to Datchet for excellent hosting, Jenny for organising and Dave C. for the great photos with his nibs castle in the background!

I got Dave's pictures before I had got on the ferry and Jenny had sent me a report a few hours later. Ruthless efficiency as ever.

Event report is also up on Y&Y online. I kindly left out the bit where our webmaster could not operate an online entry form ....
