Has anybody else noticed that newer shackles are not staying locked even when tightened with pliers? I have taken to using thread lock fluid to keep shackles done up.

My boat is a few years older than yours but the only one I have had come undone once or twice is the shackle between the mainsheet and the traveller - but not a regular occurrence (and no pliers involved).
Is it a particular shackle that is coming undone or all of them?
I had exactly the same issue at Rutland, fortunately I was half way back to the club when the mainsheet came off the traveller. However, I considered myself lucky since
I'd not taped it up. Normally there's only the halyard shackle on my boat not taped.
