Carsington TT 18-19 April

Post by George Love »

Congratulations to Liam Thom who took the win and lift the 2026 Northern Champion trophy after a hard fought battle with Angus Cook and Jason Clarke which went down to the wire.
But to take nothing way from the front runners, the stellar performance of the weekend was young Jonathan Ball (13) from Marconi SC sailing solo in his first TT ever to post a very creditable 12th place out of 15 entries plus a 6th place in the last race - Wow!! :!: And Wow again!! :!: I am blown away.
And a BIG thanks from me and the rest of the team at Carsington SC for making it a weekend to remember - fantastic! :D

Thank you to George and all the team at Carsington. Really close sailing with the 4th count-back deciding it.

Event Report now on Y&Y with young Jonathan in a starring role on the pics.
Fabulous, I would say.
And my thanks on behalf of Carsington SC to all the travelling sailors for making the event so memorable. You showed CSC at its best which did not go unnoticed by management and members alike - not to mention a few folks I spoke with who were on a learn to sail course and who said things like 'that looks fun"/'I'd like to have a go at that", etc.
At the end of our 2026 Carsington SC open meeting season, I think it will be seen as one of the best events if not the best. :D

Cheers, laughter and thanks from me for a great weekend at home.
