Toe Loops & pop rivets [Charles Watson]

Last week I went for my first Sprint - what a BLAST !! - but I also managed to pull out a toe loop while moon walking (I think).

The hole looks quite large to re-pop & as it is the middle one of the 3 loops I can't get to the underside to glass in any strengthener to try screwing into.

One of the guys up at the club said he had used an appropriately sized household rawl plug & "wacking great stainless screw".

As this can't be a particularly unusual occurence (especially for us novices), has anyone got any better / different ideas ?

Thanks, Charles.

If you're unsure, speak to Steve Sawford of SS Marine on 01536 330477.

Steve does repairs like this all the time to a high standard.

Cheers

Toe Loops [Charles Watson]

Thanks Mark, I have spoken to Steve & he was extreemly helpful in recommending filling up the hole & drilling a new one 10mm along the hull.

Steve also suggested removing the front 2 toe loops, as a regular Sprinter, he says they aren't really necessary. I think I'll leave it a while longer to try this as I've only Sptinted once so far !

Steve's recommendation of grip tape on the side of the hulls seems a good idea though (onlt a little nore expense on the fitting out bill).
