Good luck with the Sciatica Kevin. If you can improve sufficiently your sailing might help in the recovery. It helped me but not until after I'd propped up my osteopath's bank account some and I'd done lots of boring exercises!

I remember being concerned about this trailer board business a few years ago.
I contacted the technical traffic specialist of Surrey's Police and he was not that sure what was needed either. He was very helpful and suggested a pragmatic approach which was do what you can to be seen at night. His rather cheerful advice was that if he didnt know the average patrol car wouldn't either. I take from this that if your board is visible and the width indicated by triangles etc then you are unlikely to be stopped.

PS for the anally retentive, the forward facing white lights on the trailer are a good idea, but not required by law, as boat trailers are exempt in the traffic regulations I read.
PPS for the chancers - you only need a fog light if its foggy.
I hope my next legal read is not "Archibald on evidence"

That's nice Keith. Am I right in thinking that you might have a spare Spark just for when you don't happen to have your Dart 15 with you? Or is that a different "Keith"?

The retentive bit was aimed at me as I spent about two evenings looking this up - not understanding it - and then ringing the Police
No - its another Keith 1840 - only to claim to fame in a Dart 15 is being T-boned at Saundersfoot, first race, first lap - just lucky I guess.

Oh Righto Keith, sorry about the mistake!
I was just being a bit sensitive - haven't been myself since trying to improve so much at Saundersfoot (not that I'm grumpy or anything Bob!)

No, Robert - I did not think you were being a Mr Grumpy. Anyone who made that improvement deserves an explanation on why you did not win the Most Improved trophy. The topic on this forum seems to have dried up. No more ideas, folks?
