I last saw Len Flynn when he raced an H5.9. He sold it a few years ago and since faded from the scene. But he is the kind of fellow who bounces back!

It was Linda Moss as helm and Stuart Snell as Crew in 1989 from Grafham (where else ).

I'm working on Abby to be my crew, as I'm also hoping it will be Jacob's 1st solo Nationals so the three of us can wobble around at the back!!

We'll see...Nearly have the accommodation sorted now at a local B&B.

Did you have to bring up such a tender subject, my son Ben shows me the way round the course most weeks, though I blame myself for selling him what seems to have become a very fast boat, dont know what he has done to it

I am the Sailing Sectretary at PSSC and will be the Race Officer for your Nationals. I will answer some of the queries raised in previous posts.

Accomodation: Several options including camping/caravan/static on the Pentewan Sands site. Several other campsites nearby, Heligon Woods is a good one for those wanting a quiet site. There are various B&B in the village. There are links on the PSSC website. If you get stuck get hold of me and I will try to help. I recommend you book early as things usually fill up in peak season.

Boat/Trailor Storage: There will be plenty of storage on the clubs site for boats and trailers. Vehicle access to the club site is via the gate in the village car park opposite Ocean sports. If you are Staying on the campsite I think you will be okay to keep your boat there so long as it fits on your pitch. (check with the site first). We will be open to receive boats on the Saturday prior to the event. We can arrange earlier access if required, please contact me if needed.

Club Facilities: A bar and galley will be open for the duration of your event. This is in our exisiting building which we have renovated as the credit crunch has postponed our new build at the front.

The chap in 1220 looks set to crash into a few boats caused by the boat below him and looking at 1758 I could swear that is a young Mr Flying D. with Eric Sales. Would put it during the 1995 champs. if I'm correct.

I dont know who sailed 1220 then but i know who has abused her for the last 2 years. She has been at gurnard for a while now.

Will 1220 be returning to Pentewan? It would be great if you did, because I can assure you the Thorpe Bay mob can create just as much mayhem on the start line as the sailor in 1220.

Once, I was in the second or third row and decided to pinch up. Then along came Bob Carter who shouted, "Andrew, I think you've stopped"! It was a gross exaggeration: in fact, I was sailing backwards.

Hi Martin,
In 1995 1220 was sailed by Kevin Foster (of Seasalter) and he got 7th place. As I recall he was progressively producing a large family and it got in the way of his sailing so eventually he sold up................

Yes we occasionaly see the Fosters but the the last sailing was on a Hurricane 5.9. Mike Johnson who sailed with Kevin has now rejoined with a Hurricane 5.5 but we may persuade him back to the fold.

Taking another look you can see that boat 1821 (which is Nick D.'s boat) is the cause of all this pinching up. Thus he pushed up 1290 which in turn pushed the mystery boat next to 1220, then 1220, then 1489 and then the boat with the white bow. The boat between 1220 and 1486 which we can just see the bow of which about to clunk 1220 is well stuffed!

HHHMMM me thinks the best place to be is to leeward of Nick at the next nats!

Not to mention the camera boat that took the picture.
