Winds are not looking fantasic for the weekend, depending on which website you look at.
The range is from 3 knots to 9 knots for Saturday and Sunday, but windy on Friday and Monday!!

Hi All
Sorry I won’t be there this weekend as it is my wedding anniversary and I’m not allowed out.

Erling
Do you know the dates for the 2012 - 2013 winter series?

Cheers

The only date agreed for the winter TT is 3rd November at Stewartby, hope to have other dates after the weekend.

Links show 1mph and gust 2 mph on staurday at 1 oclock. Do we have a minimum wind strenght to 'sail' in. I have perfected the art of sailing backwards after tacking.

Hmmm, just seen this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/19650773 Saturday looks good with nice wind and weather but Sunday is less certain. Much appears to depend on "Nadine" (tropical storm) and there are three scenarios:
a) Most likely dry and bright if the high stays
b) Warm, very wet and windy if Nadine's offspring comes towards us from the south
c) Cold and windy, probably wet if the High Pressure doesn't hold off another low from the Greenland region and the daughter of Nadine doesn't come our way
No doubt this will all change in a few minutes' time :?

Look - here is the link to George Wood's article on the Y&Y website.

http://old.yachtsandyachting.com/news/?article=166156

I'm posting it here as Martin is away for a few more days yet so it will not be on the Sprint 15 website for another week.

Cheers

Bob

PS George confided in me that he has sailed a Sprint 15 for 25 years and this is the first report he has done. Now that the cat is out of the bag I doubt it will take as long before he is asked again.
