Folks,

Sorry for having to dash off after getting the Peter Mayne Trophy yesterday but I had learned that my mother had been taken to A&E in Canterbury and needed to return as soon as I could back home.

She is now on the mend in Hospital.

Well done Dave and Liam for getting the report and the pictures out so quick. Brilliant.

A great event in my opinion, really enjoyed it, and thankfully, the weather turned out much better than the dire forecast.

But does any one else have any views on that complicated course?

I needed a satnav to find my way round!

Yes I do.

They are not printable.

My thanks to all at Netley SC who worked so hard over the weekend and gave us a great event. My first visit and I really enjoyed it.
Thanks also to Sissy for coming along to support and present prizes.
Rosie did a great job in her new role on the Windsport team to keep us supplied with spares - all at very reasonable cost :!:
My thanks in anticipation to all those new sailors whom I was pleased to meet and who, albeit under mild duress, promised their own take on the event in the form of an article for the next magazine. Said articles may offer further opinions on the course on which I, personally, got lost on at least one occasion :? - but enjoyed nonetheless - some longer reaches would have been good.

Fabulous event at one of my favourite clubs Netley. The course was spot on better than the square, and inverted P. Thanks to David, Luke, Rosie, Ian and all the other members who did a great job to make it an excellent event and of course our Race Officer (and no BLACK flags.) Well done to the Boy who did well considering he’s only sailed once since the last Nationals. Looking forward to Wales next year.

Hi, For those of you that may have noticed there was a photographer at the Sprint Nationals at Netley. To see the latest pictures he has put up from the event go to the following link. He was there for all 3 days so if you are not in the gallery it might be worth contacting him direct in case he hasn't got your picture up yet. http://www.iainmcluckie.co.uk/recent.html
