Look Bridlington (RYYC) have done the Dart 18 Nationals proud with their web information on the event.
Dart 18 National Championships 2012 at RYYC
http://www.ryyc.org.uk/dinghies/dartnats12/default.htm
I could not find anything on Brightlingsea's web site about our Nationals.
The Dart 18 Nationals finishes today. They had 41 pre-entries but have not put any updates or daily results on the web.
We currently have 70 pre-entries and I expect we (Martin) will be putting results up daily so it is not all bad.
Cheers
Bob

If you bring your boat on the Friday, the field is the large grass area next to the public car park and the club and Bar will be open on the Friday evening.

Get your entries in fast, guys.

PS Where are:
Nick Dewhirst
..............etc
but otherwise looking good
Bob have a look at entry number 2 and there you will find our chairman.
Blow me
I never thought of looking that early on the list
My appologies, etc
Cheers

I worked it out. Nick was not #2 on the original entry list. It was Charles Watson, but Charles has dropped out and Erling (keen to conserve tally numbers) slotted in Nick. So Nick was not an early entry - does a tiger change it's spots? I think not.
Sadly it looks like Charles will not becoming
On the positive side I see we are now up to 75 pre-entrys - fantastic.
And there a few more days for others to save £20 off the full entry fee.
Thorpe Bay have a fantastic 16 pre-entries so I reckon that Mark should be putting his hand in his pocket for a bottle of house red for Andrew Hannah
Cheers
Bob
PS Charles - any chance of a rethink? We are back down to 1 2-up boat

There'll be at least one more from Thorpe Bay, fairly definite. Others are still talking about it......
Will George Love and Ray Gall be attending the AGM?

Finally posted my entry yesterday, so I'll be there. Hedged my bets for a little while 'til life with new baby and arrangements for family holiday were settled.
Looks like 8 boats from Marconi this year, possibly 9 if one more 'usual suspect' currently absent from the list is able to make it. I think that will be a record for us in recent times.
Hats off to TBYC - what a fantastic entry. I know a concerted effort was put in by a number of people there to encourage and support members to attend. Great result.

Sorry that I am unable to add to the great entry numbers from TBYC. I know a lot of effort has gone into organizing boat transfers etc - and 2 or 3 boats set off yesterday to sail the 30 odd sea miles to Brightlingsea. It was a bit misty so I hope they didn't end up in Rotterdam.
What a great pre entry total! I wish you all a successful Nationals - but particularly team TBYC! Enjoy the wine Andrew.

Meanwhile on the weather menu....
http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=47926
... moderate southerly and westerly breezes. A few more knots might be nice, but the direction is good. Pretty warm too.
Doesn't look like we'll see a repeat of the baptism-of-fire that was day 1 at Pwllheli. Them's felt like big waves to an east coast river sailor like me, though I expect anyone who regularly sails on coastal water will confirm I'm just a wuss
Colne Point can deliver its own big waves in a blow, but if the stronger winds forecast for Wed/Thu/Fri drop back as predicted we'll be spared that fun.

- requiremnt for cash
- a lovely and recommended nature

Oh yes been there, my two girls are old enough to enjoy a nice hotel in Yorkshire with mum while dad slums it in a tent for three nights.

I bring my kids down to watch with my wife, are you wanting to bring your kids to watch as my 14 year old daughter says may be interested, my sons 11 and will play with anybody.
At last Beaver SC has a team, unfortunately John P has retired from sailing I believe.
