Liam wrote:Yes, they are definitely more distinct. I think it is because they took out course 2 though.

However our class flag could be the stretched Japanese flag so I don't what "Code Flag 1" is going to be.

Erling will know. He's really hot on flags.

I was also confused by the concept that our class flag could be Pennant number 1 at the same time as indicating which course we are doing. Hopefully this will be clarified at the briefing. Happy to lend our Marconi Sprint 15 flag as the class flag if it helps.
Plus Pennant No 1 is (in our neck of the woods at least) the Solo Class flag and I have never really considered myself a Solo sailor .....

Liam,

Thanks again for the impressively prompt posting of provisional results to date!

I've even had time to notice that David Groom's early showing has waned. But what has happened to Erling? Is he ailing?

For those who hadn't realised, the link http://sprint15.com/events/EMS/national ... php?id=136 in Liam's last post now show's full provisional results.

It is true, we have two new National Champions for the price of one. Well done to Sophia for keeping Sean on the correct course for three days.

I am not very happy that Erling is trying to gerrymander the 2017 Most Improved Trophy.

On the contrary, I believe Erling has instigated a new trophy category for:

"The competitor who has achieved their worst result than at any previous Nationals"

Bless him.

Regards
Gordon

Epic few days well worth the effort. If you were absent you missed out big time. Sailing was superb as was the company. Looking forward to seeing the pictures and write up.

Good luck to Erling in terms of his reluctant but understandablle decision to find his boat a new loving home if our for sale pages are to be beleived

And here - http://www.sprint15.com/events/EMS/event.php?id=136

Since nobody could be bothered to send me a copy I copied and pasted from http://www.yachtsandyachting.com/news/191994

I took the liberty of letting the truth get in the way of my version and corrected some of the appalling spelling and grammar.

A for content
A* for creative writing
D for spelling
E for grammar
F for checking facts
G for not mentioning the practice race more
