I’m sure George Carter must of held the above GRAND SLAM several times over  , Martin any chance of delving in to the archives to answer this query :?:
Agreed. Hats of to Kevin for giving room at marks when he didn't really need to other than to make life easier for us all! A worthy champ, but just 1 more lap and I'd get you!!
Which race was that, Mark?

Anyone know who is doing the race report?
I have seen no sign of one on Y&Y or this website.
Cheers
Bob

Hi Ray,
I just did the analysis and only George has achieved a Grand Slam and the he did it just once - in 2003.
Cheers
Bob
PS I hope the knee is on the mend :D

Thanks Bob.
Nice to know that George achieved a Grand Slam, perhaps the only surprise is that he achieved this goal only once!
This should lay down a challenge to Kevin and all of the other top guns  who's going to be second to hold all four Sprint 15 majors in a rolling year :?:

General tourist information for spectators at Instow Nationals, if like me you are spectating, I highly recommend catching the Instow Community Ferry to Appledore (£3.00 adult return) and walking up the hill to the "Beaver Inn", for the cost of a pint or two & a pasty, you get the best seat in the house, a tan, see all of the sailing action and if very little wind and limited sailing action, a power nap 8)

Cheers
OwMuch!

PS:- progressed from limping to walking, stairs & and kneeling are a buggar at the moment, but expect to see YaHoo! on the water July :D

Just did penance for not tallying on at Instow & paid my dues to the RNLI ! It was painful, but a little insurance, even for a Yorkshireman, is worth it!!!

Well Done Martin,
I also hear that the Pro-Am prize was won by Robert England (Pro) and Simon Fleet (Am).
Just for the record.

To all those who were part of this great event, I thought you might like to show some support to the local photographer, Mike Bentley, who was out working hard on the water on each day taking some great pictures of us all thrashing around the race course.
I have received a CD from Mike of all the pictures (around 660!) and I think nearly every sailor is featured at least once. A CD will cost you £15 which is great value considering that this is often the cost of just one shot. Here is a link to Mike's website in case you'd like to check it out and get in touch with him. There are some other great pictures which are in Mike's gallery of local scenery and might be of general interest.
