Hi Y'all
Most impressed with the up-dated web-site, including new photographs. Jonathan has obviously put in a lot of overtime here, to great effect. I am also looking forward to a good read of the new year magazine, if only to maintain the enthusiasm during the cold winter months .
Also, I was hoping to christen Dartful Codger 3 at Rutland, but my delivery date of 19th January has been extended to 1st of February, due to supply problem with the hulls ( allegedly ), currently under investigation . All I have so far is a pair of plastic coated shrouds, courtesy of Spencer Rigging, which I purchased in view of the quality problem with the standard kit at present, and also for cosmetic reasons. Incidentally I am most impressed with the service from Spencer Rigging. Rang up last Friday to get a quote which was given the same day at very reasonable cost.
Posted my order with cheque on Monday which presumably arrived Tuesday, and I received the parcel at 8.45 a.m. Wednesday - brilliant . So , all that means I shall bring Old Codger 2 out of hibernation again (by kind permission of my son Matthew ) who will be swelling the Beaver ranks by taking over 1900 this year - he is still in hibernation at the moment!
P.S. Hope the Fenner family are still keen to try 'some' Dart 15s, - haven't seen any further correspondence from them yet.
P.P.S. - See you all at Rutland a week on Sunday, providing I can get out of bed early enough, and it's NOT snowing !!
