Just a quick gear check, on my first sail this year, coming ashore onto a sandy beach with surf, I flicked the rudders up and the strain on the tiller cross bar broke the starboard end fitting. I assume they are the original fittings and the plastic may have become brittle with age. I have replaced both, and have a spare in case of a repeat performance.
Well done Ellen for buying a quality product like the Dart 15. With little promotion from the Laser Centre the boat is still a winner over more 'modern' alternatives. Will we see more active selling from Laser in the future??
