35 Sprints on the starting line! What a fantastic turnout it was! My congratulations to Bob Carter who motivated so many to attend. If we compare our entry to entries for the other cat classes, we are ahead by miles. What has happenned to all the Dart 18s that were around a few years ago? Have the manufacturers lost interest in them?

I met someone in the Grafham boat park who told me that a Sprint 15 was a good boat to step-up from, to a faster cat. Words failed me. I should have replied that a Sprint 15 is a good boat to step-up TO, not from! Assuming you want to race in a fleet of 35 instead of three.

My sentiment entirely Andrew. I could say 'well spotted', but then they were generally noticed by their absence - the 18s of course.
This merely re-inforces the importance of supporting your fleet and open meetings, to advertise and emphasise the boat's popularity, which ultimately rewards you with a higher standard of sailing, better competition, and preserving the residual values of our boats.
