I have repaired my skegs but mistakenly assumed that my hulls were white when they are very pale grey. Although the structure of the repair is good it is cosmetically challenged!
Does anyone out there know the colour or code of the correct gel coat for my boat which is a 1989 Monaco. Any information on stockists would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Yes - the Monaco boat was Persian blue & Silver grey. I don't think that the Laser Centre stock these colours anymore - but you could try. If not I recommend that you speak to Steve Sawford (see under suppliers). He has to mix up the colours until they match. An expedient solution would be to keep repairing it with white and have it professionally touched up when eventually you come to sell it.
Best of Luck!

Thanks Bob,
I've had a couple of emails direct (from Laser Centre spies?) saying that the colour is Dawn Grey and remains a standard Laser colour.
I suppose I'll have to consort with the enemy!!

Although Steve Sawford doesn't (yet?) have a complete range of coloured Dart 15 Gelcoat, I think you'll find he has the colour you want - Dawn Grey (he might call it Silver Grey). Earlier this year I tried Catparts, who could not then help.

Sending Gelcoat through the post is ok (ish), but the problem is the associated calalyst / accelerator which is not. You might need to find the calalyst / accelerator locally.

PS My skegs and keel line are multi-coloured - sometime I'll get Steve to do a proper job....
