Happy October to everyone !
Yes, the year is passing very quickly and as well as Christmas, another magazine deadline is fast approaching, so this is a reminder that any articles you may have been working on, or any suggestions for articles / information you would like to see in print, PLEASE let me have them by the weekend of the Grafham finale (22nd Oct.)
This should allow me to publish the next issue hopefully by mid-November.
Many thanks,

Hi John,
I don't know how long you have been a member, but Kevin Parvin took the trouble to write such an article in the November 2005 issue of NewSprint, giving his impressions of his first Nationals at Pwllheli, in North Wales.
So far, I have not received a similar one on Netley, but would welcome someone sending me one, and there were quite a few first-timers there, so all contributions gratefully received.
All I can say is - If you are contemplating attending one, and next year it is at Saundersfoot in South Wales,
you will benefit immensely from the experience, whatever your current competence level is.
It is a great social gathering, and even if you don't know anybody now, by the end of the Nationals, you will almost certainly have made many acquaintances, if not friends, picked up lots of tips which are freely given (if you ask), gained substantial knowledge about how to get the best out of a Cat, and thoroughly enjoyed a week's holiday at the same time.
That must represent a good deal by any standards.
Assuming you are a current association member, I can send you back issues if you give me your details, but at the end of the day, the only answer is to 'suck it and see', as we say up North.
I am positive you will not regret it.

I'm not actually a member yet. I did try to become one though.
On this page -
http://www.sprint15.com/join.php - it says membership is ?15, but I was told it was ?10 if paying by direct debit. So I sent an enquiry on 11th September asking about this - but no reply yet. Do you know if the ?10/DD is true and if so how I join using that method?
