Hi Rob,
This year, we have suspended fleet status at Beaver, with several sailors having moved to RS200 at present. This then allows an individual to come and race, without discovering there aren't enough boats to constitute a fleet on any particular week.
Thus all cat's sail in the handicap fleet, but of course, when there are a few out together, they simply sail against each other, and ignore the rest of the monohulls around.
The only difference is, there are no individual trophies allocated to Sprint 15 at present.
Re: The website - The Sprint 15 website needs up-dating really, since it pulls up the old Beaver web-site details.
Beaver have recently revised their web-site, so if you type www.beaversc.org , you will access the current version .
You can still contact me for any Sprint 15 activity /information, although technically there is no 'Fleet Captain' or 'Class Rep' at present.
During November and December, we commence our 'Frostbite' series at Beaver, which means there are NO FLEET STARTS, and ALL boats start together in 1 big handicap race.
In January and February, all sailing is suspended while maintenance is carried out to the club/jetties etc.
Regards,
Paul Smith (1961) NewSprint Magazine Editor / Beaver Rep.

Thanks for the information. I am currently looking to buy and was just checking on sailing venues. I am in Lincoln (1 hour drive), so not too bad.
