Folks,
On the off chance someone maybe offered a dartsprint 15 port side rudder for sale, I have recently had one disapear from either my home or at Seasalter Sailing Club. The rudder is quite well marked:
On the underside of the tiller arm I have written my sail number, 1331, in ink. Also the tiller arms end casting is very worn with 2 of the screw threads of the long pin exposed. The arm itself is re-welded at its elbow and this has a crack in it. The A-Frame flange has a slight bend in it from a collision. The blade has had a few dings and I filled these with a light grey filler compound. So all in all its not a pristine example just a very well used one!
I last had it for sure on the 7th October but due to various reasons discovered it missing just this last weekend.
No doubt I'll have to file an insurance claim and have a chat with the police but who knows.
Thanks,
Martin Searle
