Hi all,
As head assistant to the assistant head of the "Cats Reunited" database, i need information about your Dart 15s.
For those of you who weren't at the Nationals (or were there but were too drunk to notice) I have been volunteered to run a database for the 15 association which details where all the 15s in the country (or outside the country) are, what clubs they are at, and if possible who owns them. this will soon be up on the website but probably in the members only area to comply with data protection legislation.
So if you could email me at benjo . saunders @ tesco . net (spaces there to stop spam emails hopefully, it is really all one word) with these details i can fill in more and more of the database and Nick will then be happy.

Hi Ben,

I think this is another excellent idea. It is important to know where fleets are being established, eg Island YC, Canvey, Essex.

It doesn't matter if there is just a single boat at a location. All our big fleets began with one boat!

I will be sending a list of the Thorpe Bay boats, including sail numbers, boat names if any, and owners.

The clubs are catered for in the clubs section of the site, so if there are new clubs then email the webmaster to have them added to the map. Along with whether they are big\medium or small.

Many thanks to Andrew for sending me the list of boats at Thorpe Bay.
Could the other fleet captains around the country (or someone knowlegdable at a club which doesnt have one) send me the same info ( sail number, boat name, owners name)
Many thanks, Ben

Ben,

I will update our club list with the new boats and let you have it over the weekend. I must get the stickers issued as well.

Ben,

It maybe an idea rather than enter the data into a spreadsheet you could enter it into the Boat Database forum on this site, that way you can kick each boat off and past\present owners can then update the records as they wish.

Just a suggestion,

Martin S.

Thanks Ben,

Only 2 left ! Your Dad must be really pleased to get his barn back.

I wish I had had my camera with me on Sunday when you and Dangerous tried the spinnaker on a 300 metre run - 100 metres up 150 metres under the bow and 50 metres back in !!!!!!!

Unfortunately the barn is full of Phil's various trailers and a poorly Marauder.
But still.
And yes, Dave and I need to have a quiet chat to the race officer about putting in longer runs/board reaches. Money/beer may changed hands. Otherwise we will have no time at all to get the spinnaker out from under the hull and it will become dull.
Wednesday is now my designated 'boat repair' day so i will be down at the club fixing Solo, Fireball (the spinnaker will work after this) and picking up my 15 tramp for urgent repair work. It was held together with Gaffa tape at the Nationals thanks again to Elliot who managed to provide everything to keep my boat alive that week.

Won't be there Wednesday unfortunately - 8.30 am video conference at Crawley will get me up early (Joan says I shouldn't bother going to bed !) and I don't expect to be finished work until after lunch. I shall be glad when this contract is finished and I can get back to semi-retirement.

Do you need any bits - I might have some in my store.

i think i now have all i need due to scavenging around the place.
Just a few bits to put on the spinny pole and a new downhaul on the spinnaker and we should be away. You won't see us for dust.
Mainly because we will be sailing on water.
And sinking.
