Morecambe and Heysham Yacht Club regatta

I recently attended the Morecambe and Heysham Yacht Club for their annual regatta. It was a windy affair although sadly I was the only Sprint 15 sailing. There are four Sprints at the club, none of whom, for various reasons, could sail. Still, they were glad to have me visit and maybe next year will be able to get on the water. Moreover, the club was very welcoming.
Sailing is governed by the tide with racing only being possible 2 hours either side of high tide but it is a splendid venue with the backdrop of the Lake District as added bonus. The venue suits cats and I could easily have walked away with the trophy. Due to conditions, the cross bay race could not be held but it certainly would have been fun and again, suitable for cats.
I will be going next year to try and get my hands on the nice trophy for the winner. When I know details, I'll post here.

PS I have already made a short post on another thread but thought I would repeat and elaborate here
