Has anybody any idea where I may be able to get any old style tramp track, it does not have to be new, just servicable.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks Very Much

You could have my old ones if you want, as I upgraded to the new tracks. There is nothing wrong with them, perhaps a little worn, but will be good.

If Pewing only wants one I'll have the other, are you going to Grafham?

If not perhaps you could give it to Ray, he's delivering some other stuff for me!

If so I'll have a word with him to expect something else under his tramp!

How much do you want for it?

Nice one, Charles.
Pewing is likely to be Peter Ewing who used to work for the Laser Centre and before that Panthercraft as tha Catamaran Sales manager for many years. He almost certainly sold your boat originally.
He currently sails at Instow. We would love to see him at the Grafham Cat Open.
Cheers
Bob

Yes I am going to Grafham, so I will bring them both down. I will have a think about the price after I have had a look at them again.

Robin

That is very kind of you and I would like to take you up on your offer. My immediate concern is for one side.

Bob Carter is correct, I am who he says and it is unlikely that I will going to Grafham as my boat at the moment is broke, but with the help of some tramp track and gel coat filler I can sort it out.

The problem remains of how am I going to get it from where you live to Instow, by post or carrier, what do you suggest.

Best Regards

Pete

Is there someone that sails near you that is going to Grafham, as that will save carrier costs? Also, which side is it that you need? they can be reversed, but there are a couple of holes drilled for the jib fittings, so if you get the correct one, it saves you redrilling the track.

Hi Robin

Its the portside that has the problem, so I would be grateful for that. I dont know anyone who is going to Grafham at the moment, I will have to work out a way of getting it collected.

Sorry I havent asked, how much do want for it?

Best Regards

Pete

Hi Pete,
If the track is splitting & one side has gone the other side will not be far behind. I would buy the pair if I was you - even if you do not fit the other side yet.
Cheers
Bob
PS Why not borrow a boat and come to the Grafham Cat Open? It will be more expensive than P&P but also more fun!

Your absolutley right Bob, Robin please can I have both lengths of track?

If I could borrow a boat I would go to Grafham, but I dont know anyone who would lend me one. strange really when you think collectively I probably sold several thousand boats.

That would be no problem, well i'll guess at £10? does that sound reasonable? I haven't seen any up for sale before so I'm not sure on the price. Although p&p would be on top of that though.

Peter, perhaps you could talk nicely to Brian Phipps, as he's attending Grafham? A favour from 1 Sprint salesman to another?

As a northerner I think you southerners all live in one another's back pockets anyway, it's not far between Instow & Falmouth, is it ? !

Hi Robin

Would you mind posting them to an address in Hertfordshire, I can get them collected from there and bought home. If you agree I will supply the address obviously and pay the postage. Thanks, I would appreciate it.

Charles

Thanks for your comments, when you say a, 1 sprint salesman you must be talking about Brian, because I sold the rest.

Logistically, it still 2 hours to collect them, sorry to shatter you illusion but its a big place place down South, I was going to say thats why most English people live here, but they dont anymore.

Best Regards

Pete
