1825 (and 1517)

Post by George Love »

1825-named 'Fly-by-Wire'- is a 'Techno' model and has been at Carsington Water in Derbyshire for about the last six years, the last four in my ownership. Before that I think she was at Grafham or maybe Rutland. I have all the original paperwork. She had a new suit of sails last year for the Sport Nationals at Gurnard, Sport mode being her preferred dress code on both home waters and when travelling. In the right hands, (not mine I hasten to add), she's a fast lady!
1517 was my first 15 which is still at Carsington, owned by a friend and was originally called 'Slam Dunk' and took to the waters in her first season at Instow in the Sport Nats. in the hands of Bob Carter. There is a photo of her in the NYDC clubhouse. Bob will, no doubt, be able to provide much more on her early years
