Halifax SC is planning to make the journey to do some warm water sailing in between viewing mud!

With a bit of luck & some quick work on the logistics front we are hoping to get a 4 boat showing at the first Summer TT.

We managed our first practice of the season today, in 2" of snow!

Mr Richardson did a good job last time we met him, telling us what a great venue Marconi is.

So far, we have four definites from Thorpe Bay. Marconi is our nearest TT venue, so we expect more will go.

In 2007, six Marconi boats came to Thorpe Bay, which was a great showing. We want to at least match them, or else Mr Richardson will have something to say!

yes there was 2 inch of snow up north good sailing though wasnt it charles we will blame alenia for slowing you down. yes shuld be a good turn out from the halifax boats!

The youth of today, shuld learn how to spell, I blame it on textin myself !

I also blame myself for having to do a turn! Appologies for that, hope your boat was OK, I just lost 1/4" red stripe off mine & had only just touched it all up too!! Oh and the 22 minute duration race, we were comin' back at yer !

Hi Charles,

Kent is a far off land, across the styx. It is where your bruised apples come from, just like the windfalls in my garden.

Seasalter is easy to sail to, but the tides would be all wrong to attend an open meeting. Moreover, there is the problem of stowing your dinner jacket to wear at the Royal Seasalter Sailing Club.

So attendees at Seasalter will drive via the Dartford crossing. The journey is longer than to Marconi.

So you would rather pay the 'Gatekeeper' than the 'Boatman' to cross to the 'other side' - the land of apples and still a few hops (at least Shepherd Neame still have the brewery in Faversham).

Unfortunately all our gunpowder mills have gone so we cannot repel invasions from Essex as well as we used to.

The whole point in texting is to communicate with others, not just to send yourself messages! Or haven't you got the idea yet...

robin if you look at the conversation he blames the fact he lost the race on the fact he hit my boat!! these old guys ont look up after a tack even when on port do they charles! im trying to spell now so you old guys can understand! you were only catching up with me because i forgot to go through the start line

'Down here' at MSC I can't promise the water will be much warmer - we've been sailing in snow too! Thankfully, high tide on both days falls between 1pm and 2pm so there shouldn't be much mud on show.

That's great news. This my first TT since buying my 15 in 2006 (shameful I know) so I'm looking to meeting some folks.

We managed our first practice of the season today, in 2" of snow!

We lost our season opener on Easter Sunday to snow fall - RO said we couldn't sail because the predominant white hulls and sails across all fleets were too well camouflaged in the conditions!

Pete's very persuasive, isn't he . I hope you'll agree with him come Sunday afternoon. We've certainly had some smashing (if cold) racing so far this season.
