I do believe there was a bit of an incident during last week’s Wednesday evening race, F 5 with big gusts, a 49 er & an RS 600 ended up with broken masts, a few collisions, one involving two S 15’s,leaving one unmarked and the other with a large chunk missing from his starboard bow. The remarkable thing being the helm of the badly damaged boat managed to sail to shore unaided with a hull full of water.
I’ll E-mail Martin the picture of the damaged boat.

It certainly gives an idea what is inside the boat at that point you can just see the foam re-inforcement.
Sailing back with a hull full of water is pretty tricky as I found out the other week you need to position your weight very carefully and don't sit on the hull full of water (it sinks!) but it does mean that you can survive virtually any wind condition

Poor old Tom. I thought that you had christened someone else "Captain Crunch" - there must be a lot of it about!!!!!!!!!!!!
