Stop ABP Widening the Channel in Southampton Water
This is the repeat of a posting by Luke Scott on the Dart 18 site. The reason I have posted it here is because it would have a dramatic effect on the amount of water available for sailing at Weston and Netley Sailing Clubs. It would mean that netly probably wopuld not have enough space left for running a Nationals near the Club, which would be a major blow.

ABP are proposing to widen the eastern side of the navicable channel in Southampton by 100meters. In an already constriced piece of water this will prove to be a serious blow to leisure users of the river as well as a large impact on the ecology of the river.
