As with the event photography - see earlier post - I am happy
to make available any back copy issues of the Mag. in electronic format - pdf file.
If anyone would like to make use of this, you can either:
1. See me at an event and download the file from my laptop onto a stick or CD or
2. Send me a CD in the post with a SAE and I'll send it back to you.
I would prefer option 1. for obvious reasons
First take on this will be Grafham this weekend. The issues currently available are Spring 2008 & 2009, Autumn 2007 & 2008. I am looking into the possibility of offering this on issues before these dates, but this could cause me a lot of work - I'll keep you posted
Cheers

Hi George,
How big are the PDF files?, we could offer them from the members area of the website.

Hi Martin,
The files are around 35MB in pdf. In their raw form they come in at around nearly 2GB for the latest Mag. which is due to go to print early next week.
I could send the pdf's on a CD to you, if you think the website idea will fly - it certainly makes more sense.
Cheers,

I think we would have space and I suppose most people now have broadband that could download them at a reasonable pace. So yep if you could send them by post then that would be great. I'll send you an email with my address on shortly.

Folks,
George sent me a disk with the PDF's of the back catalogue of newsprints. These have been uploaded to the Members Area of the website, once logged into it click the link to the newsletters found there.
The files are quite large 30mb+ each.
Hope that helps,
Martin Searle

Mark,
See the email reply I have sent to you from your PM message for username and password.
Unfortunately due to various technical reasons its not possible at this time to use your forum username and password to access the members area. Instead it uses a fixed username and password for everyone.
I would strongly recomend that when your web-broswer asks for the username and password for the members area you check the checkbox to remember the password which will greatly simplify use in subsequent visits.

Sorry Martin, but can I ask the same question. I've always wondered what the members area was!

Just to clarify for the benefit of all.
Only back copies of the Magazine will be on the website. This means that the current edition i.e. Autumn 2009 won't be there until the next edition is issued in Spring 2010.
If you haven't received the latest edition and you are a paid up member, you should e-mail both Keith and myself so we can sort it out.
newsletter@sprint15.com
membership@sprint15.com
Hope that clarifies.

Hi Martin,
Could you email me with the fixed username and password for accessing the members area please? I read your post to Mark earlier in the thread and looked at my original registration email from you but it only stated my forum username etc...
Thanks.
Regards,
J.

Folks,
Remember the Members Area username and password won't login to the forum but instead are used when clicking the Members Area link on the menu from the homepage.
