PS I heard a rumour that someone lost their mast at Shanklin. :(

Is it true?

Yes you don't happen to have a spare bottom section at home do you? I would let him use mine but its i bit longer than the originals.

No, sorry. I reckon that Steve Sawford is his best chance - otherwise it is a whole new mast now that the split line has changed.

Another thought would be to see if David Lloyd has one. I know he keeps that sort of stuff.
He will be away at the Dart 18 Nationals until Tuesday.

I managed to get hold of a new bottom section to replace mine that had a sleeve over a bit of corrosion (like Robert England wrote about a while ago. I had to take the sleeve off, so there are now a few rivet holes. (I'm not selling this am I?). However, It is straight, and I think I was being a bit over cautious with the sleeve in the first place - Seems to be a fairly common thing this corrosion!

In a nutshell, it's here (Netley), and would keep anyone going for a bit (Maybe forever!) if they want it. I'd rather it ended up on a boat than as part of a fence in the dinghy park!
