Rear Mast Support for towing

Hi all,
My previous Sprint had a pintle mast support which was great for towing. Having now changed to a newer Sprint I find that I have nothing to put the mast on except the rear crossbeam with some padding added to protect both.
Any sensble suggestions for towing security or the availablity of some suitable support would be appreciated. :D

Hi Chris,
Presumably you changed the trailer when you changed boats and the new trailer does not have the type of trailer board that incorporates the mast support and the trailer board and lights into a pintel mounted assembly. These are by far the best in my view so if I was you I would either buy such an assembly which mounts on the pintels (they come up from time to time on Ebay) or to make one. It would be quite easy to make one out of a plank of wood and a couple of pintels. It only needs to be a mast support if you have a number plate and lights elsewhere on the trailer.
Cheers
Bob

Look Chris - you could have had this one for £20.
I did post it on this website a couple of weeks back.

Thanks Bob. I did see it when you posted but was not going 'up North at the time otherwise would have considered it.
If you hear of any others let me know
