Transom repair

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for advice on repairing a transom after the pintle has ripped out. There doesn't seem to be much scope for reinforcement around the lower screws but has anyone had to do this and found a method which works? Also, due to the amount of damage I can't use any of the existing screw holes as a guide for ensuring correct alignment when refitting the pintle so any hints and tips would be appreciated.

Cheers

I`m happy to give some repair advise, its more common in the older Dart 18 fleet so I have done quite a few.

Thanks for the advise Steve. Basically, rebuild with plenty of fibreglass leaving room to refit the nuts on bottom screws, careful measuring to establish a center line for reference, more lines to align with the hull gudgeon and when fitting use exterior quality polyurethane filler to seal pintle in place. Repair ongoing.
