Rudder Blade Cosmetics

I have been cleaning up my rudder blades and with a combination of wet and dry and polishing compound I can get a high gloss finish, however I have filled some of the scratches and dings with gelcoat but that now stands out as the colour does not match (the blades seems darker than the hull gelcoat colour). The question is, how do I make the blades cosmetically perfect, should I colour match the gelcoat (any tips on colour matching welcome) or should I spray the blades with paint and if so what type.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi, always good to use the correct colour gelcoat from the start to fill dents and apply the final finishing coat.
There have been three base colours used on blades, white, dawn gray (light gray), velor gray (bit darker than dawn gray). Windsport stock all three . visit sp15 hull on the catparts website.
Hope that helps.
