Just over a week before the one armed bandit gives us another chance to beat him, hope to see you all.

I am intending to go and see how my super improved stiffer and faster Sprint preforms having been breathed on by Mr Sawford. He is coming as well so who else will be there.

In terms of the Grattage I still say to the Shanklin mafia damage his other arm so we can see if he still beats us just using his teeth.

Can we get a photographer who doesn't keep the pictures to himself this time?

Hi Liam

Is Alan going? He's a top man with a camera.

I'll be sailing Saturday, only 15 minutes from home....that makes a welcome change.
Hoping Keith Chidwick will be coming along.

Regards
Gordon

The ultra reliable Wind Guru (free edition) is forecasting what I consider to be a respectable breeze for Saturday at Datchet with no doubt the add d the xcitement of normal Dreamliner and Airbus 380 inspired gusts and shifts. So all looks good to me and hopefully heralds a good turnout.

Barry here, your race officer for tomorrow.

I just had a quick look at your forum and was going to put a few notes on it, but your security kept me out (if the web master is there tomorrow I will ensure he takes the penalty!).

Wind is looking great 16ktns (we sailed in 25 - 30 last weekend!).

The ‘tide’ is fully in, so launching straight from the beach is very easy.

For those not sailing, we have a great indoor upstairs lounge with views straight across the racing area (new glass also means less drafts!).

I will have my Camera with me, so between starting and finishing you I might nip off the committee boat and get a few pics, which will then go on picaso.

I think your published sailing instructions say that you should park at the bottom of the hill, as this is a Saturday and one of the few weekends when we don’t appear to have a gaggle of RYA youth squads training on site means you can ignore that and park at the top, (the 29ers out in 28knots last weekend were an entertaining site, and the its always slightly embarrassing when you are ‘running for home’ in a gale to pass an oppy going in the other direction!).

Extra sailing - we run a series during the 4 Sundays in Feb, and anybody who wanted to stay and take part in this Sundays event or leave the boat for the rest of Feb would I’m sure be very welcome (rates discussed with office tomorrow). At the moment missiong the 1st Sunday does not set anybody too far back as I was the only Cat to go out!.

I look forward to seeing you all in the morning.

Barry

Could you email them to webmaster@sprint15.com? I will put them on this site for perpetuity, whereas Picasa is being turned off in May.

Well done Datchet and Barry. You could tell he is a hard core 18 sailor he set a disguised upwind downwind course. Liam took his penalty being beaten by me second time on the trot and likely to be three in a row as South Island is not doing Datchet. This is despite him turning Dreadnought into a sponsored Super Dreadnought. We all know what happened to them at Jutland with the comment being made when thy sank or blew up something is wrong with our ships today Liam beware.

Should also have said thanks a lot to Cat Whisperer Steve Sawford who has done a fantastic job involving bleeding fingers meaning the boat which he returned to me that morning looks great, does not leak and amazingly both bows now go up when one is lifted. The fact that much of the work was caused by my overly enthusiastic use of sanding paper was something he did correctly comment on.

Trying to upload photos to either google photos or Picasa, however, the computer seems to like the phrase - 'files failed to upload'

This should be a link to approx 40 of the 300 pictures that did arrive! -

https://goo.gl/photos/yYtgiExjCvtTBqB38

They now seem to be uploading to dropbox and I'll send a link when its done.

If anybody is a Mac expert and happens to be passing Datchet, I think I might offer to by you a pint or two!
