It is also one of the lightest boats - mainly because he sponges it out after each after he sails it and leaves off the hatch covers under the cover so that the hulls dry out. It is amazing how much weight boats gain whose owners leave out these simple steps. Our weight data shows it can be as much as 10Kg per boat. So don't be a dummy - keep your boat dry.
Regards
Bob
PS Several people have recently been trying to tell me how much benefit a heavy boat can be. Perhaps they are the smart ones, but I don't think so.

Haven't seen many events won by heavy boats. I would rather have a light one.

This weather reminds me of our winter traveller at Rutland in 2001 when Steve Sawford drew the course in the snow at the briefing. Look I just loaded the picture.

Enjoy Draycote

Liam might want to tidy up the picture location. I cannot get the link to work to a discrete picture with his new gallery.

Looking forward to tomorrow!
I've just been reassembling #2008 on the trailer after her trip on the car roof to Cornwall. That reminded me that to counteract all this stuff about weight I have two big advantages for the races tomorrow:
1. I now have the longest stick in the fleet for tensioning my trampoline. Definitely the cheapest go faster advantage.
2. Not only do I have a correctly threaded mainsheet that uses all the rollers in the blocks but I also have new traveller rollers fitted.
Nobody else stands a chance, you might as well stay at home
Dave

Do we have a photographer and a reporter lined up? Haven't seen either for a while.

All right, all right, stop nagging. I will be there so can take pictures (or I might download them from a carribean holiday website to upset the people who don't attend). I have every faith that the Draycote team will provide a race report.
