If you are not up for camping in early April (its not for everyone) - we have done a block booking with the nearest B&B and we have one room left.

£40 for a twin room.

If you would like to take this up, let me know.

Hi everyone

Looking forward to welcoming you to the first Summer TT at Marconi next weekend. Just a gentle reminder - the club site is locked. So if you would like to drop your boat at the club on Friday night - please let me know in advance as I need to make arrangements to let you in.

Thanks!

Jenny

Well done all at Marconi, lovely place, lovely people, lovely weather and a great time. Why am I surprise the results are not yet on the website. Seriously, well done Liam, and keep on working on that Grattage gut!

I echo David's wise words. Great event.

Scores are up. http://www.sprint15.com/events/EMS/event.php?id=159

No apologies for the brevity of my speech - I was as surprised to be making it as you were.

Will add some pictures very shortly.

Thanks to all the team at Marconi for a great weekend.
My first ever visit - most impressed. My first ever podium finish - most happy. My first ever time finishing an event with extra weight on board (just shy of 4.5kgs) - most convinced it made not a scrap of difference to my result.
Well sailed, Liam.

Well done Liam for a great result and George for his first podium. Also to Paul for a solid result. Thank you George for supporting the one design concept rather than a two tier class. I promise, the weight makes a difference to performance.

I should have clarified that it was my first podium in a Summer TT.
And to further clarify - I remain completely convinced that the carrying of additional weight in the order of a few kilos made no difference whatsoever to my result. Had I not chosen to carry some weight, my result would not have been any better. I say this after examining my position in each race at the finish line and the distance to both boats in front and behind me at that point.
I have subsequently discovered that my rudders were slightly out of alignment which I suspected during the event. Had they been properly aligned, that could have made a notable difference.
I remain totally convinced that the current weight issue wrt to new boats being too light and as a result, having an unfair advantage over all other boats is a complete red herring in terms of posting consistently good results. Forensic examination of results over the last few years will bear this out.
