I'm looking for advice on replacing the shroud chain plate following a breakage. Is it the same process as the forestay plate or is a different technique required. Any advice appreciated.

Talk to Windsport, depending on the hulls age, there are a number of options.

Thanks to Alex at Windsport for the call and the helpful advice. The slightest turn of the screws to tighten them and then the screws came out without any issues. Reassuring to know there was a backup available (rivnut kit) from Windsport if it did go pear-shaped.
